About HTML Table to CSV Dimensions Calculator

Copy a table out of a web page, docs site or email and turn it into CSV you can open in Excel, Sheets or import into a database. Tags are stripped, HTML entities such as & and   are decoded, cells containing the delimiter or quotes are escaped properly, and cells with colspan keep the columns aligned. If the HTML has several tables you can pick which one to convert.

How to use HTML Table to CSV Dimensions Calculator

  1. Paste the HTML that contains your <table> (or just the <tr> rows).
  2. Pick a delimiter, and choose which table to convert if the page has more than one.
  3. Copy the CSV or download it as a .csv file.

Key features

  • Handles <th> and <td>, multiple tables and colspan
  • Decodes HTML entities (&amp;, &nbsp;, &#8217;, …)
  • RFC-style quoting for cells with commas, quotes or line breaks
  • Comma, semicolon, tab or pipe output
  • Runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded

Frequently asked questions

Can I paste a whole web page?
Yes. Everything outside the table is ignored, and if the page has multiple tables a picker appears so you can choose the one you need.
How are commas inside a cell handled?
Any cell containing the delimiter, a double quote or a line break is wrapped in double quotes, and inner quotes are doubled — the same convention Excel and Google Sheets expect.
What happens to merged cells?
A cell with colspan="3" fills the two extra columns with empty values so the remaining columns stay aligned. Rowspan is not reconstructed.
Are images or links kept?
Only the visible text is kept: tags are stripped, so a linked cell becomes its link text.
Is my HTML uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.
